IT Refresh

This week we have had a major IT refresh where a large number of our computers and laptops have been replaced with newer models. We also have 16 notebooks which will be timetabled for classroom use. We are all very excited at using all the new computers and operating system in the future.

Administration of Medicines in Educational Establishments

South Lanarkshire Council have published updated guidance on the administration of medicines in schools following a national and pan-Lanarkshire review. A letter was sent out on Monday with updated information for parents and carers. Please find on our website the required form should you need the school to administer medicine to your child.

Sportshall Athletics

This Friday marked the first Sportshall Atheltics of the school year at the John Wright Sports Centre. Our athletics squad was selected after trials for Primary 6 and 7 pupils and secured eight 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes. The squad demonstrated an excellent team spirit and great determination during the event.

First Friday Mass

Room 10, Primary 5, led the liturgy at our First Friday Mass. The children were excellent and Fr Bernard commented on how composed and confident the children were.

Parent Council

On Monday there will be a Parent Council Meeting at 7pm in the school ICT suite. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Parents’ Evening

Parents Evening will take place for the majority of our learners this Thursday 11th October. Due to unforeseen circumstance there will be a slight change of date for some pupils in Rooms 1 and 12. A separate letter will be sent to those families affected. We look forward to celebrating your child’s attainment and achievement with you.

Extreme Reading Challenge

Thank you to all the families who took part in the Extreme Reading challenge this year. Our Literacy Leaders spent a lot of time today picking the top 3 entries. Winners will be revealed at assembly next week!

ST Columbkille’s Maths Week Challenge

A massive thank you to all the families’ who took part in our very own maths week challenge. All pupils who handed in a sheet, completed or not received 25 House Points. All pupils who handed in completed sheets received 50 House Points, well done!

Lunch time clubs
